Fuel Your Mornings: 3 High-Protein Breakfasts for a Power-Packed Week

Mornings are a whirlwind in my house. Between rushing to get the kids to school and squeezing in a gym session, breakfast needs to be quick, delicious, and, most importantly, protein-packed. Research suggests that getting protein in your system within 30 minutes of waking up is an excellent way to kickstart your metabolism and keep you energized throughout the day. So, here are my go-to high-protein breakfasts that have become staples in my busy morning routine:

Simple Scrambled Eggs With Air Fried Turkey Bacon

Sometimes, simplicity is the key. Heat a non-stick pan – my personal favorite is the Our Place pan in sand. Spray avocado oil and, over medium to high heat, add in two whisked eggs. I prefer my scrambled eggs slightly runny; they taste creamier that way, and in just a few minutes, they’re ready. Season with salt and pepper, and serve alongside two air-fried pieces of pasture-raised or organic turkey bacon.

Whole Wheat English Muffin, Grass Fed Butter and Tomato

Sometimes, I crave something earthy in the morning, and this breakfast makes me so happy. I toast an Ezekiel whole wheat English muffin and spread a tablespoon of grass-fed butter on it. If I have extra time, I’ll add some avocado, but it’s just as delicious on its own. I top it with sliced tomato and sprinkle some Celtic sea salt and pepper. For an extra protein boost, I add two scrambled eggs.

Health Tips: Whole wheat muffins are loaded with dietary fiber and provide a steady release of energy to keep you fueled throughout the day. Adding a tablespoon of grass-fed butter not only lends a rich, creamy flavor but also helps stabilize blood sugar levels. High-quality butter contains beneficial nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). And let’s not forget the crowning jewel – fresh tomato slices. Beyond their burst of flavor, tomatoes bring lycopene to the table, a powerful antioxidant linked to numerous health benefits.

Yogurt Egg Salad on Flax Bread

I’ve always been a fan of incorporating flax seeds into my daily meals, and discovering this flax bread recipe was a game-changer. Now, I top it with various proteins like creamy egg salad or tuna, and healthy fats like avocado. This Egg Salad is enriched with grass-fed yogurt for added protein and is my go-to for a balanced breakfast. The flax bread is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and antioxidants, flax seeds contribute to heart health, aid digestion, and my favorite part help promote radiant skin. I make a batch of the flax breads at the beginning of every week so they are ready to go.
