Meal prep is key for eating healthy. At the start of every week, typically on Monday, I make a few protein dishes that I can add to any salad, pasta, vegetable, or rice dish.
Here is the recipe for my go-to air fryer meatballs recipe! Just a few high-quality ingredients a few minutes in the air fryer and your meatballs are done!
1/2cuphigh-quality breadcrumbsgluten-free if desired, with minimal ingredients and no inflammatory oils
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the grass-fed beef, grass-fed milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can result in tougher meatballs.
Take about a tablespoon-sized portion of the meat mixture and roll it between your palms to form a smooth, round meatball. Repeat until all the mixture is used, making approximately 20 meatballs.
Lightly grease the air fryer tray with a little oil to prevent sticking, or use a parchment paper liner if preferred.
Place the meatballs in the preheated air fryer tray or basket, leaving some space between them to allow for air circulation. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the meatballs in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry the meatballs at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. You may need to flip halfway through or shake the basket to ensure even browning.
To ensure the meatballs are cooked through, you can use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the air fryer and transfer them to a dish or glass tupperware.
