Creamy Steel Cut Oats Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 3 cups almond milk unsweetened
  • 1/4 teaspoon Celtic sea salt adjust to taste
  • Optional toppings: maple syrup sliced fruits, nuts, seeds, etc.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rinsed steel-cut oats, almond milk, and Celtic sea salt.
  • Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low to maintain a gentle simmer.
  • Allow the oats to simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, for about 20-30 minutes or until the oats are tender and the mixture has thickened to your desired consistency. Keep an eye on the oats and adjust the heat if necessary to prevent boiling over.
  • Once the oats are cooked to your liking, remove the saucepan from the heat. Taste and adjust the salt if needed.
  • Serve the creamy steel-cut oats hot, topped with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, sliced fruits, nuts, or seeds.
